Between July 23 and 24 2011 in Piatra Neamt will take place the Festival “Tare ca Piatra 6” (a direct translation of the name of the festival would be Hard as Rock). This is the only national festival of extreme sports from the north – east side of Romania. Riders and skaters from all over the country are expected to come and perform their best skating tricks or participate in the downhill event.

The festival will take place on Cozla Mountain, where riders will participate in the downhill event and Tineretului Swimming Pool where skaters will ride the skate park organized there.
The downhill course from this year has a length of 1,6 km and starts at the top of Cozla Mountain and finishes at the place called “Colibele Haiducilor”.

In the skate park from Tineretului Swimming Pool will take place events like h.o.r.s.e./best-trick/park. Saturday, July 23, starting with 22:00 will take place an after party concert with DOC, Deliric1, VD aka CTC. “Tare ca Piatra 6” Festival is an event that already places Piatra Neamt on the map of extreme competition from Romania. Next year will be organized another 3 downhill courses and also a professional snow park.

The prizes from this year are 3000 Euros and are offered by Ileana Foundation, The Sports Association Shack and Piatra Neamt Town Hall. We invite everyone that like sports in general and extreme sports in particular to come to Piatra Neamt between July 23 and 24 2011 and to participate at “Tare ca Piatra 6” Festival.
