Another attraction from Tazlau is Tazlau Monastery, located at the foot of Magura Tazlaului Hill and built by ruler Stefan cel Mare in 1497 on the same spot where there was a wooden church built by ruler Alexandru cel Bun. The entire complex was designed just like a fortress with thick surrounding walls.

Tazlau commune still keeps a lot of traditional elements from the old times. The architecture specific to the old houses from Tazlau can still be seen in its natural context. The interior of old houses is still decorated with traditional fabrics and during special holidays people are still dressing up in their traditional costumes.
