10-culori-ruginii-valea-seculuiSecu Valley has a special charm and is a place where over time religious settlements were built where hundreds of religious believers come every day. The road that goes to these monasteries is located 12 km from the place where our great writer Ion Creanga was born. After 4 km of old forests and rocks you encounter Secu Monastery, a religious settlement of over 500 years old.

The archeological diggings revealed that the religious life existed here long before Secu Monastery and this proofs the connection with the old Tracic – Dacic religious life.

From Secu Monastery you follow the road that goes along the creek and after 3 more km you see as the valley narrows the beautiful Sihastria Monastery. This religious place is tightly connected to the life of Fathers Cleopa and Paisie Olaru and its natural beauty makes it special and unique. From Sihastria Monastery you can reach “Inaltarea Sfintei Cruci” Hermitage, Sihla Hermitage and Daniel Sihastru Hermitage.

Secu Valley is a palce of rare natural beauty and great spirituality and we invite you to visit it especially during autumn when the magical colors create a place of incredible beauty.
