Photography exhibition “Fossil fishes from Europe – National Geographic Expeditions”

06-expozitie-pesti-fosili-martie-2014The History and Archeology Museum from Piatra Neamt will host between March 8 and April 1 2014 a temporary photography exhibition “Fossil fishes from Europe – National Geographic Expeditions”. The organizers of the event are Neamt County Museum Complex, The Natural Science Museum from Piatra Neamt and “A. I. Cuza” University of Iasi – The Geography and Geology Faculty.

The opening of the exhibition will take place Saturday, March 8 2014 at 12:00 at the History and Archeology Museum from Piatra Neamt. The photos are made by Dorin Sorin Baciu and Ionut Gradianu. Dorin Sorin Baciu works at the Geology Department at the Faculty of Geography and Geology from “A. I. Cuza” University of Iasi and he is passionate about the fossil fishes, being one of the few doctors in paleontology from Romania.

The photographic material exhibited with this occasion will also include fossil fishes from the Natural Science Museum from Piatra Neamt. The collection of fossil fishes from Piatra Neamt is on the second place in Europe after Moscow.

The exhibition will be open until April 1, 2014.
