While hiking through the mountains once described and wandered by Ion Creangă, Calistrat Hogaş and Sadoveanu, you can stop at the agritouristic sheepfold “Burnt Cross” in Farcaşa.

If you have never been to the sheepfold, we propose an incursion on Bistrita valley lands at Farcaşa, to discover and to live in the magical world of ordinary people.

Located in the Farcaşa commune, Popeşti village, the agritouristic sheepfold “Burnt Cross” is an option for relaxation and culinary delight in a great geographical area with special people, where tradition of shepherd and milk products, has not disappeared.

In a sheephold time flows differently and worries are dissipated  in the fresh mountain air and the atmosphere of yesteryear.

If you hit  the right time you can see shepherd milking sheep, kneading the curd, lambs returning from grazing and many other occupations from the sheepfold.

Traditional dishes and traditional brandy immediately quench hunger that, undoubtedly, the strong air and the smell of cetin will do it to you.

Farcaşa village is 84 km from Piatra Neamt (DN15) to 74 km from Worcester (DN17B), 70 km from Topliţa (DN15) and 65 km from Targu Neamt (DN15B).
