It is one of the most visited museums in Romania and we know why. Here was born and raised most beloved storyteller of Romanians, Ion Creangă. Inside of the two rooms of the house, stand as testimony the items mentioned in Childhood memories. We look at the chimney pole with rope look with tassel at the end, the hearth of the mantelpiece where Ionica leaned when he was learning to walk, the oven that he was hiding when he was playing peek-a-boo, as all are in place, even weaving and spinning tools of the mother, and, as if we see Ionică with blond haired, and as if we hear the voice of the bustling child, but also his mother’s voice, very present in the Memories, taking soot from the stove and anointing the child not to evil eye. The Horologion with which he caught flies, the bridge in wich he has hidden the hoopoe, the cherry tree, the linden tree are not missing marks present from the house and childhood yard. There are the nets with which you are trapped in memories.

Let’s say that next to the Ion Creanga Museum is the Ion Creanga Theme Park in which are illustrated in a fairytale decor some of the immortal stories characters: bear, fox, goat with three kids and the wolf, rooster and the bag with two pennies, the wagon of Chiorpec graybeard, to the delight of visitors, especially of children, happy to recognize the heroes of the stories.
