We invite all winter season lovers to come to Neamt County and enjoy a perfect walk in Bicazului Gorge (Cheile Bicazului) area where nature provides spectacular images to please the eye and the soul. The mountain routes from these parts are a little bit difficult to make during winter season but sure it’s worth the effort.
A truly spectacular route is the one that starts in the asphalted road that goes through Bicaz Gorge at the point called “Podul Ungurilor” (Hungarians Bridge), located between “Gatul Iadului” (Hell’s Neck) and “Pridvorul Iadului” …

The route is marked with a red circle and starts on the road DN 12C that goes through Cheile Bicazului (Bicaz Gorge) near Lacul Rosu restaurant. From here you go on the paved road that goes to Bicajelul de Jos village located at an altitude of 885 m. In the beginning the dirt road climbs through the forest and soon you’ll reach a church from where you’ll have a spectacular view over the entire Bicajel Valley.

“Pestera Tunel” (The Tunnel Cave) is located in Cheile Sugaului – Munticelu Reservation and crosses the mighty ridge “Piatra Glodului” (The Mud Stone). Also called by locals “Pestera Sura Glodului” (The Mud Burn’s Cave) the cave it’s like a tunnel carved into the massive stone wall by nature.
