“Miracolul Eminescu” Show at Piatra Neamt 2012

Saturday, January 14 2011, will take place in Piatra Neamt starting at 12:30 at the first floor at Galleria Mall a musical concert called “Miracolul Eminescu” (The Miracle Eminescu). The event is organized with the occasion of 162 years from the birth of our National Poet Mihai Eminescu.

The anniversary of the poet will take place in an unusual location for this type of cultural manifestation: a shopping center from Piatra Neamt. The organizers want to expose their songs with lyrics by Mihai Eminescu to a wide variety of spectators.

The poetic moments will be sustained by Teodora and Dan Iacob and the musical ones will be interpreted at guitar by Ciprian Solomon. The organizers of the event are “Carmen Saeculare” Cultural and Art Center together with Galleria Mall from Piatra Neamt.

“Filmul de Piatra” Festival – Piatra Neamt the third edition

Between January 5 and 8 2012 in Piatra Neamt will take place the film festival “Filmul de Piatra” the third edition. This edition will take place in the festivities room of Neamt County Council. “Filmul de Piatra” wants to discover the best shorts created exclusively in Romania and Moldavia Republic.

In the competition there are 55 videos to different sections like Fiction, Animation, Experimental, Videoclip, Documentary or Extreme. At the event there will also be concerts performed by Partizan, URMA, Electric Fence, multimedia parties, a meeting with Draga Olteanu Matei and a presentation of shorts from other related film festivals like Next, Anim’est or ShortsUP.

At this edition the jury will be formed by Ana Ularu, Andi Vasluianu, Irina Margareta Nistor, Aurelian Nica, Virgiliu Mărgineanu and Ticu Lăcătușu. the awards are offered by Roman Cultural Institute for The Best fiction film (1000 Euros), The Best Documentary (700 Euros), The Best Animation Film (700 Euros), The Best Video clip (700 Euros), The Best Experimental film (700 Euros). On the Extreme category the award is represented by a video/photo camera GoPro Hero2 offered by mxshop.ro.

The festival is organized at the initiative of Andrei Dascalescu with the support of Piatra Neamt Town Hall.

Live reptiles exhibition at the Natural Science Museum from Roman

The Natural Science Museum from Roman will host until January 22 2012 an exhibition of live reptiles. The exhibition already was visited by over 1000 people that came to see some of the most spectacular reptiles from the world.

The temporary exhibition is from Bucharest and presents venomous reptiles like snakes, lizards, tarantulas and crocodiles. The enclosures are well secured so there is no danger to the visitors. The exhibition was visited by people of all ages, from children to couples, adults or grandparents with their nephews.

Starting with July 2011 the Natural Science Museum from Roman can be found in a new location inside the main park from Roman. Visitors that want to see the museum can do it from Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 18:00. The tickets cost 3 RON for children and 5 RON for adults.

The Festival of Customs and Traditions “Roman Metropolitan” – the second edition

Thursday, December 29 2011 in Roman Musat Plaza from Roman will take place the Festival of Customs and Traditions “Roman Metropolitan”, the second edition. The Association Roman Metropolitan invited to this festival traditional bands from the villages around Roman that will present a show with songs and dances specific to the winter period.

This festival has the same name as the association that organizes the event and promotes the traditions and customs from Roman and the surrounding areas. The people from Roman and tourists will have the opportunity to see our winter traditions and customs like The Horsemen, The Bears, The Star and The Goat.

The bands that will participate to the festival come from 20 villages around Roman: Ion Creanga, Tamasesti, Moldoveni, Faurei. Bara, Pancesti and Ruginoasa. The organizers of the Customs and Traditions Festival “Roman Metropolitan” invite you to come and witness Romanian winter traditions and customs from Roman area.
