The area is a natural oasis crossed by Tazlau creek that is considers by the elders to be a gift of the village. Near the water there is “Magura Tazlaului” where there are some big stone walls named “The table of Stefan” (“Masa lui Stefan”).

Also in Tazlau area there is the memorial house I. I. Mironescu. The house is a museum that describes the way of life in these parts between the two world wars. In this house took placed several cultural meetings at which the writer Mihail Sadoveanu was present.

In this area can be visited old villages where the old traditions are still kept alive. The most common skill from these parts is carpentry and the villagers know how to create beautiful tables, cabinets and chairs.

Tazlau Valley is a place of real cultural value and a proof that the man makes the place special.

Nechit Valley is populated from the XIV century when several rural settlements were built here. Nechit Village is located up the stream of Nechit creek. Here the arable fields are like small islands inside the green fields.

In the village you can still see old houses with traditional architecture, built on high stone foundations, with a tall roof, a porch covered with boards, sculpted wood pillars and small windows with iron bars on the inside.

Also on Nechit Valley there is Nechit Monastery, located in a picturesque environment. The first monk that came to these parts was Nichita the Monk from where the entire valley, the village and creek have their name. The monastery is built in a beautiful plane in the west side of the village and it’s surrounded by a gorgeous forest.

The beautiful mountain ridges, the pine tree forests, the sound of the creeks will help you relax, forget about the daily worries and experience a beautiful day inside nature.

Monday, May 14, from 17:00 at the Culture House will take place the official opening of the festival together with the exhibition “Yorik Magnum XX” which is a remember of the XIX editions that took placed until now. From 18:00 will start the first show of the festival that will be performed by the Cultural Association “Pinochio 2008” from Piatra Neamt, that will play “Fetita cu chibrituri” (The Girl with the matches), an adaptation from H. C. Anderson. In the room “Teatrul de Joaca” from Neamt County Library from 18:00 will take place the show “Lectia” (“The Lesson”) after Eugen Ionescu, directed by Gheorghe Hibovschi sustained by “Teatrul de Joaca” Theater of the library.

Tuesday, May 15 from 12:30 in the room of the Culture House will take place the show “Dumbrava Minunata” presented by Tomis Theater from Constanta. From 13:30 in the room “Teatrul de Joaca” will take place the play “Paris, Mon Amour” and from 14:00 the play “Domnul Goe”. The last play “Coana Chirita” will start at 17:00 and will be presented by “Nae Leonard” Musical Theater from Galati.
Wednesday, May 16 from 19:00 will be played the play “Azilul amantilor” (“The Lover’s Asilum”) by John Chapman and Dave Freeman, directed by Dan Tudor and performed by the Jewish Theater from Bucharest.

Thursday, May 17 starting at 18:00 will take place at the Culture House the show “Caragiale reloaded”, directed by Catalin Iosub. From 19:00 will start the award winning festivity.
Friday, May 18 from 19:00 on the stage of the Culture House Mihai Eminescu Theater from Botosani will present the show “O noapte nebuna, nebuna!”, an adaptation after Ray Cooney, directed by Alexandru Vasilache.

Saturday, May 19 from 19:00 will take place the award gala. At the end of the festival Tineretului Theater from Piatra Neamt will present the play “Eu te iubesc, eu te omor!” directed by Tudor Tabacaru.

The concert was organized by “Carmen Saeculare” Cultural and Art center and directed by Radu Otel. As singers will be Ciprian Sicinschi – violin, Georgiana Chelba – flute and Andrei Onofrei – violin. The program included musical pieces composed by L. Boccherini, J. Pachelbel, J.S. Bach, W. A. Mozart, J. Massenet, S. Mercadante, J. Strauss, C. Dimitrescu.

The orchestra was created this year at the initiative of Stelian Dima Resmerita, from the Philharmonic from Bacau and Radu Otel, professor at the Musical Academy  “Gheorghe Dima” from Cluj Napoca. The members of the orchestra are Alexandra Dumitriu, Andrei Onofrei – violin I, Alexandru Timilie, Daniela Nita – violin II, Mariana Haratau, Ilinca Sbantu, Liviu Mera, Alexandra Elefterescu – cello, Stelian Dima-Resmerita – contrabass and Catalin Stanescu – piano.

Wednesday, May 9 20120 starting with 12:00, Neamt County Council, the Museum Complex from Neamt County, the Infantry Battalion 63 “Petrodava” Piatra Neamt, the Military Circle from Piatra Neamt and the Association of Teachers from Neamt County organized the event May 9, The Independence Day, the Victory Day. Under the aspect of human contribution, Romania was the IV state that participated between August 1944 and May 1945 at the final assault on Germany. May 9 is considered to be the starting point of the European reconstruction.

Thursday, May 10 2012 starting with 12:00, the Museum Complex from Neamt County, the Teachers Association from Neamt County and “Constantin Matasa” Foundation organized the event Teachers from old times in Neamt County. This event will include a book launch and two art exhibitions.

This exhibition serves as a pretext of the artist to offer a trip in time. Each person is connected to his memories, to things that happened in a certain place or in some special moment. The paintings exhibited try to depict the theory of painting.

Created as a dialogue between spiritual traditions of the rural civilization the exhibition “Ferestre” (“Windows”) comes to autentificate how fresh the point of view of the artist can be. The paintings can be admired at “Lascar Vorel” Gallery from Piatra Neamt until the mid of May.
