Romanian Touristic Fair- The XXII edition – 15-18 October 2009

At the XXII edition of the Romanian Fair Tour, the Neamt County Council together with the Piatra Neamt Council and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Neamt was present with the motto “Neamt – mountain, adventure, traditions” and a rich touristic offer. The stand of Neamt County took the big prise awarded by the magazine “Vacante si calatorii” (“Holydays and travels”) for the most beautiful stand and the best touristic programs.

For this edition we had an impressive number of publicity materials such as: brochures, flyers, postcards, tourist guide, maps, and calendars.

The folk craftsmen Rodica Ciocârtău and Nicolae Popa, offered their support under the form of traditional masks, traditional costumes and handicrafts from the Neamt County. Among the visitors of our stand we can list Minister of Tourism Elena Udrea and the President Traian Basescu.

During the four days of the Fair of Tourism, along with representatives of the Neamt County Council and City Hall Piatra Neamt, the stand was attended by representatives of Central Hotel, the Casa Karol and Senin pensions and Mrs. Ionela Lungu, a craftsmen from Humulesti.

Romanian Touristic Fair – The XXI edition – 19-22 March 2009

The Neamt County Council, together with the Piatra Neamt Town Council and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Neamt, was present between 19 and 22 March at the XXI edition of the Romanian Fair Tour organized in Bucharest, at Romexpo.

Holiday roads in Neamt was the theme of the Neamt County at this edition and the focus was on the European projects finalized in Neamt County, on the facilities of entertainment present here. On the latest participation on a national Fair Tour the accent was on the cable railway. This year was the turn of the Neamt Stronghold to shine and draw eyes on this beautiful place.

After the official opening the Minister of Tourism Elena Udrea visited our stand together with Minsiter for Youth and Sport Monica Iacod Ridzi.

Among the visitors, the stand of the Neamt County received some special guests like the actress Draga Olteanu Matei, the actor Vasile Muraru, the fashion creator Irina Schroter, Doru Simovici President of the Romexpo and local authorities from Neamt: the President of the Neamt County Council Vasile Pruteanu, the Mayor of Piatra Neamt Gheorghe Stefan.

Romanian Touristic Fair – The XX edition – 23-26 October 2008

The Neamt County Council, together with the Piatra Neamt Town Council, was present at the XX edition of the Romanian Fair Tour that took placed between 23 and 26 october 2008, in Bucharest.

The Stand for the Neamt County impress everyone through its originality with the cable railway booth and the spectacular images of Mountain Ceahlau, Cheiel Bicazului, the monasteries and the Ski Slope from Piatra Neamt.

The official opening, on 23^rd October, was attended by local authorities from Neamt – the President of the Neamt County Council Vasile Pruteanu, the Mayor of Piatra Neamt Gheorghe Stefan, tourist operators and businesses and the actress Draga Olteanu Matei.

After the official opening of the Fair there was a short celebration of the Day of the Neamt County where the guests watched two presentation movies for the Neamt County.

The Folk Art Festival „Lada cu zestre”, edition IV, 19-21 June

Between 19 and 21 of June 2009, near the bridge that goes to the Communal Beach, took place the IV edition of the Festival for Folk Art “Lada cu zestre”. The event was organized by the Neamt County Council, the Piatra Neamt Town Council, the Neamt County Museum Complex and the Association for Folk Craftsmen from Moldavia.

During the 3 days of the festival the exposition offered the possibility to buy the products showed and the daily program was as it follows:

19 June –Friday

9:00 – 13:00 The arrival of the participants and the initial arrangements;
13:30 – 14:00 The official opening of the festival with a speech from the local authorities;
14:00 – 15:00 Artistic program;
15:00 – 20:00 The actual selling exposition.

20 June – Saturday

10:00 – 20:00 The selling exposition;
11:00 Topics “Arts and Crafts – present and future perspectives” in the room Ion Creanga from the Neamt County Council building.

21 June – Sunday

10:00 – 18:00 The selling exposition;
12:00 Awarding diplomas of participation

The Festival „Fuctele de padure” – second edition October 2009

Between 2 and 4 October 2009 took place the second edition of the Festival “Fructele de Padure” (The Festival of Berries). The festival was organized by the Neamt County Council together with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Neamt. The event took place near the bridge that goes to the Local Beach Piatra Neamt.

At the opening attended the Mayor Gheorghe Stefan, the president of the Chamber for Commerce and Industry Mihai Apopii, sub-prefect Dan Vasile Constantin, the vice president of the Neamt County Council Valerian Perca, the director of the Cultural and Art Center “Carmen Saeculare”, the actor Ionut Cucoara and representatives from the Forestry Direction.

The stands presented the offer for agro-touristic packages and different products made of berries:

The Forest Direction Neamt;
· The Center for Research and Processing of Medical Plants Plantavorel;
· The Răzeşilor Inn;
The pension Casa Karol;
The Foundation „Ştefan Cel Mare” – Bălţăteşti;
The Craftsmen Association „Nemţeanca”;
Rodica Ciocârtău – local cratfman.

The Folk Ensemble “Floricică de la Munte” that belongs to the Center for Culture and Art “Carmen Saeculare” created a special traditional atmosphere.

The Festival „Fuctele de padure” – first edition October 2008

The first edition of the Festival “Fructele de Padure” took place between 3 and 5 October 2008 at Piatra Neamt. The festival was organized by the Neamt County Council, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Neamt, ANTREC Neamt and the Forestry Department Neamt. The sponsors were SILVA FRUCT – natural juice, Poiana Negri and PLANTAVOREL Piatra Neamţ.

The official opening took place in the building of Neamt County Council with a series of scientific whitepapers about the benefits of berries and the importance of having a clean environment. These whitepapers were presented by:

Dr. ing. Costache RUSU – „ Berries –more than just a product of the forest”;
Dr. ing. Carmen ŢEBRENCU – „ Berries between food and medicine”;
Ing. Gabriel HANGANU – „Silvafruct – presentation, qualities”;
Ing. Marius Eduard CAIA – „Silvafruct – the only product from berries with BIO certificate”;
Dr. Susana GEANGALĂU – „Ecology – economy and development”.

Berries were the “cuisine theme” of the festival and it was present in different forms, such as: syrups, nectars, gems, tea, medicaments, natural cosmetics, jam and sherbet. Many pensions participate with stands of their agro-touristic packages and different products made out of berries. They all got diplomas for their interest and participation.

Another event was considered by some contests for the most beautiful stand, the most original product, the tastiest product and some drawings made by children.

“This kind of events has to be the beginning of a brand that will help the tourism from Neamt County to evolve. This festival is a starting point to promote the tourism from Neamt County and it’s also a unique chance that has to be capitalized to the maximum” was the declaration of Vasile Pruteanu, the President of the Neamt County Council

This festival will take place every year. We wish to create a tradition and an opportunity to promote the tourism and the local gastronomy from Neamt County.
