Tuesday, December 21 2010 at 18:00 will take place a Christmas Carols concert in Piatra Neamt at “Casa de Cultura” building (near Neamt County library). This is a charitable concert where all the incomes will be donated to children from “Pietricica” Social Center and The Day Center for Children “Castani” from Piatra Neamt.

Christmas represents the perfect moment for all of us to open our souls, to be good and more generous with those less fortunate. In the spirit of Christmas, you can be part of this charitable concert of carols and to offer a smile to these children.

The concert will be sustained by The Bells Orchestra “Mesagerii Sperantei” (“Messengers of Hope”) directed by Geanina Salagean from “Victor Brauner” Art High School from Piatra Neamt. The band “Mesagerii Sperantei” was formed in 2003 by a group of teenagers and shortly after started to be appreciated by the public for their fine concerts.

Starting with 2006 few members of the band changed and the orchestra is directed by Geanina Salagean. In 7 years of activity the band sustained lots of concerts in Romania and also in foreign countries. Today the band is formed of 13 talented children from different high schools of Piatra Neamt.

What’s so special at this band is the fact that they use some special instruments: chimes bells. These bells were made hundreds of years ago in south of Asia and in some parts on China. The bells are made out of bamboos tree. Together with the band “Mesagerii Sperantei” will perform Theodor Constantiniu, Sara Stroici and Ioana Covrig at violin, sopranos Alexandra Grigoras, Bianca Laiu, Roxana Mihut and Adina Vilichi accompanied by Adrian Stroici.
