In Durău Mountain Resort there is a leisure park, unique in Neamţ that welcomes everyone, from the youngest to the oldest people. Therefore, during summer tourists can come to Durău for a varied range of fun activities, such as: tubbing and summer tobogganing, teleski, playgrounds, bike trails, escalators for climbing, trampoline/mattress, and during winter they can ski at their own pace in the Mountain Resort.

June starts with a high influx of tourists to Ceahlău Massif

On the 1st of June 2023, children have benefited of free entrance at all the museums in Neamț,  there was an open-air theater performance in Piatra Neamț, also for children, there was a cycling tour attended by over 500 participants, but the largest influx of tourists and locals was, by far, headed towards the “Olympus of Moldavia”, the Ceahlău Massif.

Durău Resort was included in “Top 10 Tourist Destinations” by FIJET Romania

The legend of Miron’s Haystacks in Ceahlău Massif

Following the hiking trail from Izvorul Muntelui to Poiana Maicilor (Nuns’ Glade), right before reaching Dochia Chalet, tourists pass by two impressive rock formations called „Clăile lui Miron” (Miron’s Haystacks).
The legend speaks of an old shepherd from Secu / Izvorul Alb, who came here a long time ago, to find pastures for his flock. Reaching high to the sky and full of greenery, these massif rocks exerted a particular fascination on the shepherd, whose name was Miron. Discover Ceahlău in winter!

Located in the middle of the Eastern Carpathians, Ceahlău Massif is the mountain where, in time, many hermits have worked on their spiritual ascension, and almost every rock, stream or secret passage has a story of its own.
In winter, the landscapes seem taken from fairy tales, and seeing the beautiful chamois is a true visual delight for the tourists.

Rush hour on top of Ceahlău Massif!

In the last weekend of August, the main trails in Ceahlău National Park were full of tourists
In August 2020, tourists from all over Romania embarked on a journey of discovering Ceahlău Massif, and on weekends there were even 4,000 tourists who climbed to the top of Toaca Peak.
