Postal cards exhibition at the History and Archeology Museum from Piatra Neamt

postal-cards-exhitibion-piatra-neamtYou can visit a postcards exhibition at the History and Archeology Museum from Piatra Neamt with the occasion of the XVIII edition of the National Postcards Symposium. Also with this occasion took placed a book launch, “Monografie cartofila Piatra Neamt” (“A postal cards monograph of Piatra Neamt) by Sergiu Gabureac.

The exhibition presents 176 postal cards with Piatra Neamt and also other places from Neamt County and also few other hundred postal cards with different themes. Few of these cards were united under the title “Flags and coins” because it also reflects reality.

You’ll also see different moments from the history of Romania, political men and different places. The exhibition represents a selection from the works of Ianis Strupulis and was brought in Romania in 1989 at the invitation of Victor Macarie. The artist Ianis Strupulis is also the author of the national coin of Latvia.

Visitors of the exhibition will also see the coin with the face of Eminescu, made in 1889, right after the death of the poet. The coin was the last one made with the face of our great poet in a town near Timisoara.
