Between June 29 and July 5, 2011 will take place at Dacia cinema from Piatra Neamt the IX edition of the International Film Festival for Children and Youth “Punguta cu doi bani”. The director of the festival is the actor Ionut Cucoara together with Doru Spiridonescu, the executive director of “Vox Artis” Cultural Association, Ioan Murariu and Victor Purice, the administrator of Dacia cinema.

The event was organized before 1989 by Ion Popescu Gopo. Now it will include projections of some important movies realized by the Romanian cinematography, open air shows and numerous surprises.
The official opening of the festival will include a small parade with actors, a band and a carriage. The event will present movies realized between 1975 and 1990.

The program of the festival will include the Romanian movies “Maria Mirabela”, “De-as fi Harap Alb” (“If I would be Harap Alb”), directed by Ion Popescu Gopo, “Liceenii”  directed by Nicolae Corjos, “Ion”, “Dumbrava minunata”, “Veronica”, “Zambet de soare”, “Pacala”, “Calatoriile lui Pin-Pin”, “Intamplari cu Alexandra”, “Uimitoarele aventuri ale muschetarilor” and “Robinson Crusoe”.
You’ll also see three foreign movies: “The Crocodiles”, directed by Christian Ditter, “La Fete Production – Daniel and the super dogs” and “A Cargo to Africa”, both directed by Rock Demers from Canada.

The jury of the festival is formed by director Marius Sopterean, the critics Magda Mihailescu and Calin Stanculescu, the producer Mihai Orasanu, Ana Monda the vice mayor of Piatra Neamt, Maria Lupu, director of “Calistrat Hogas” National College, Adrian Aluigheorghe, executive director of the Direction for Culture and National Patrimonies from Neamt County.

The organizers of the event, together with Piatra Neamt town hall invite you to the International Film Festival for Children and Youth “Punguta cu doi bani” from Piatra Neamt to rediscover great movies of the Romanian cinematography.
