Between July 30 and 31 2011 will take place in Razboieni commune the biggest and oldest manifestation from Valea Alba region called “Sarbatoarea Razboienilor” (The Celebration of Razboieni). This holiday is related to the monument from the communal park built by the officers of the Regiment “15 Razboieni” in memory of soldiers fallen in the great battle from Valea Alba during the time of ruler Stefan cel Mare.

The monument was created by the sculptor Visenberger and was first shown to the public on October 27, 1879.

On August 29, 1903 was the first edition of the celebration of Razboieni organized at the initiative of Spiru C. Haret. The event takes place on two days: Saturday and Sunday. During the first day there are some events organized at the small chapel from Valea Alba village where historians assume that was the place from where Stefan cel Mare commanded his army on July 26, 1476.

Sunday, July 31 2011 will take place a show sustained by the folkloric band “Floricica de la Munte” of “Carmen Saeculare” Cultural and Art Center together with artists like Maria Pelin, Ioan Hongu, Giorgiana Axinte-Serban and Brandusa Diaconu-Chirita.

The organizers of the event invite you to participate at “Sarbatoarea Razboienilor” that is meant to promote the historical and cultural value of the area and of Neamt County but to also pay tribute to the soldiers that fought and died in Valea Alba during the battle from 1476.
