“Equilibrium Trends” Exhibition from the History and Archeology Museum from Piatra Neamt

exhibition-simona-chintilaBetween September 14 and October 14, 2011 at the History and Archeology Museum from Piatra Neamt you’ll have the chance of visiting the exhibition of Simona Vasiliu Chintila called “Tendinte spre echilibru” (“Equilibrium Trends”). The exhibition contains 51 pieces of painting and graphics from “Matei Chintila” Collection.

The artist Simona Vasiliu Chintila was born in 1928 and graduated from “Nicolae Grigorescu” Art Institute. She also studied music, philosophy and literature. Starting with 1961 she began to exhibit her works, first in Bucharest and then all over the world in places like Wien, Uppsala, Paris, Sao Paulo, Lausanne and Milano where she also received different awards.

During her career she created art using different tools and styles and in 2005 she also published a poetry book called “Sora mea geamana” (“My twin sister”). The creative talent of the artist was like a second nature to her and helped her create art works that impress every person that sees it.

She obtain many awards but some of the most important are the Jury’s Special Prize from Sao Paulo (1963) and the UAP award from 1966 for decorative art. Simona Vasiliu Chintila is a modest artist that managed to create art work with a beautiful chromatic that stand through time.
