A new edition of “Filmul de Piatra” Film Festival at Piatra Neamt

filmul-de-piatra-september-2011Between September 2 and 4, 2011 will take place a new edition of the film festival “Filmul de Piatra” that will present videos, movies and concerts. At this edition, the video projection from the evenings of Friday and Saturday will take place in the court of “Calistrat Hogas” High school where there will also be the mobile Coffee Shop. The concert “Folk in the sunset” from Sunday will take place on top of Cozla Hill where the access with Telegondola will be free starting with 19:00 until the end of the show.

The program of the festival includes two of the most awarded Romanian movies from the last year, “Periferic” and “Morgen” directed by Marian Crisan, a movie proposed for the 2012 Oscars from Romania, two Romanian documentaries “Constantin si Elena” directed by Andrei Dascalescu and “The Shukar Collective Project” and a documentary produced by HBO and directed by Matei – Alexandru Mocanu about the union between the gipsy and electronic music.

You’ll also have the chance of seeing the most recently awarded movie “Din dragoste cu cele mai bune intentii” (“From love with best intentions”) directed by Adrian Sitaru. The foreign movies presented at the festival will be “On the other side” by Fatih Akin, “Priceless” by Pierre Salvadori, with Audrey Tautou and “Life in a day” by Ridley Scott, based on video materials filmed by people all over the world in the same day: July 24, 2010.

This edition of the festival will also include a concert performed by Robin and the Backstabbers, a folk concert, a party with Matze, the concept Art in Motion and the team Allkimik. The festival is organized at the initiative of director Andrei Dascalescu that was born in Piatra Neamt and with the support of Piatra Neamt Town Hall.
