Event Film: the Tourism Fair of Romania, Romexpo Exhibition-Bucharest, 2026

2 March 2026 No Comment

Neamț shone at the 53rd edition of the Tourism Fair of Romania, held at the Romexpo Exhibition Pavilion in Bucharest (February 12–15, 2026).

Neamț County’s participation in the Tourism Fair of Romania at Romexpo (February 12–15) was a true success. In just the four days of the event, our county’s online exposure reached more than three million people who learned about, saw, and became interested in discovering our fairytale land.

The impact was tremendous, and we would like to thank everyone involved in organizing this participation, as well as those who consistently promote and make Neamț visible.

Moreover, Neamț County was noticed, appreciated, and awarded during the fair, ranking 4th nationally among destinations recommended by the International Federation of Tourism Journalists and Writers.

The Neamț County Council chose to promote our county at this edition of the fair alongside the Municipality of Roman, the towns of Târgu-Neamț and Bicaz, and the Piatra-Neamț Destination Management Organization—a partnership that brought unity and coherence to Neamț’s image.

Throughout all four days of the event, Neamț County told its story and attracted an impressive number of visitors: combat demonstrations, a medieval minting and weapons workshop with “Străjerii Cetății Neamțu,” a clay modeling workshop with Ionela Lungu—who expressively recreates the beloved characters from Creangă’s Childhood Memories—and a woodcraft workshop with folk artisan Costi Lungu.

On Friday and Saturday, the “Floricică de la munte” Ensemble of the “Carmen Saeculare” Neamț Center delivered a true spectacle, as they always do, spreading joy and bringing the vibrant energy of our region’s folklore to the stage, earning thunderous applause from visitors.

By promoting Neamț’s traditions and history, we keep them alive and pass them on. These unique experiences are increasingly sought after by tourists because they affirm the identity and distinctiveness of our places. Our beautiful traditions go hand in hand with the county’s development.

The authentic taste of Neamț was present throughout the fair through tastings of traditional products.

On Thursday, February 12—the first day—“Neamț on a plate,” as we like to call it, was offered by producers and HoReCa representatives from the Târgu-Neamț area. The delicious dishes disappeared quickly from the tables, and our stand became an undeniable attraction point.

We thank those who stood by us in this visibility project for Neamț. Through the way they constantly promote the Târgu-Neamț area and provide quality products and services, they become true ambassadors of this wonderful land.

On the second day, the Roman area shone at the Neamț County stand thanks to the abundant dishes offered by Hanul Mărioarei, a remarkable venue appreciated by its clients and known for its excellent cuisine.

On the third day, “Neamț on a plate” was offered by Păstrăvul Auriu Restaurant in Bicaz.

Visitors greatly appreciated the tasty dishes, which quickly ran out. The beauties and attractions of the Bicaz area, captured in a video by Cătălin Stoleru, creator and administrator of the Visit Bicaz page, were displayed on the two screens installed at the Neamț County stand:

Interested visitors took brochures featuring accommodation and dining locations in the Bicaz area, also showcased in the video above, along with the area’s attractions:

On Sunday, the final day of the fair, Chef Iulian Niculescu chose to offer Păstrăvul Auriu’s delicacies to exhibitors at Romexpo. As beautifully captured in the post below, word spread through the pavilions that “Neamț does not come to the fair only with glossy brochures, but with arguments that melt on the tongue and remain in memory.”

This is how Neamț was represented at the Tourism Fair of Romania: with a lively stand, a place of beautiful encounters, flavors that define us, and traditions proudly carried forward.

At the Neamț stand, visitors discovered the area’s tourism offer, traditional dishes, local products, and enjoyed folklore moments, medieval combat demonstrations, and craft workshops.

Visitors, potential tourists, and tour operators discovered the cultural and gastronomic diversity of Neamț and the image of a destination ready to welcome tourists from across the country and around the world. They understood that Neamț is not just about destinations—it is about experiences and hospitality.

Neamț is a part of beautiful Romania, where nature, culture, faith, and tranquility blend naturally, and where the stories of these places are enchanting—you only need to set out on the journey to discover them.
