The second round of discussions with stakeholders identified through the impact assessment following the initial consultations focused on presenting the consultation findings, the annual activity calendar, and the preliminary technical solution, followed by questions and thematic discussions in working groups.

During the working session, participants discussed:

completing the annual activity calendar;
the future functionality of the Holiday Village;
aligning the proposed activities with the available spaces;
establishing how participants will be involved.

The community’s conclusion is clear:

The future village is envisioned as a vibrant, active and community-oriented space where people can meet, take part in activities, and pass on local traditions, stories, crafts and experiences.

As part of the participatory process, the following were analyzed:

76 questionnaires;
15 posters created during the group sessions;
609 minutes of audio recordings from the working groups.

The directions discussed for the future village focused on:

showcasing the traditional villages of Neamț County;
organizing creative and traditional craft workshops;
promoting traditional gastronomy;
stories, reading sessions and educational activities;
theatre, music, dance and cultural events;
gardens and outdoor activities;
♿ activities designed to ensure accessibility and inclusion;
volunteering and community engagement programmes;
discreetly integrated technology.

The importance of collaboration with craftspeople, schools, cultural institutions, organizations supporting vulnerable groups, local producers, minority communities and local knowledge holders was emphasized, as they can contribute to bringing the future village to life. ‍

What comes next?

The next stage focuses on establishing the technical solution and concluding framework collaboration agreements with stakeholders interested in contributing to the activation of the future “Creangă’s Land” Holiday Village.
