Between December 1 and 4 2011 will take place the XXI edition of the international musical contest “Emanuel Elenescu”. The event is organized by the Art High School “Victor Brauner” from Piatra Neamt and will be dedicated to the Natioanl Day of Romania.

This musical competition had many positive appreciations over the years from the participants and the audience. The contest grew over time and now there are over 500 participants ready to show their musical talent.

This year the participants come from Constanta, Botosani, Baia-Mare, Galati, Tulcea, Bucharest, Piatra Neamt and The Moldavian Republic. the contest will take place in more than one location: the room “Theodor Macarie” from “Victor Brauner” High School, the room of “Carmen Saeculare”, at Children’s Palace and in the room “Sergiu Celibidache” of the Musical Faculty from Piatra Neamt. The contest will have six sections: canton classic, traditional vocal Romanian music, blow instruments, cameral music, folkloric instruments, folkloric dance choreography.

The judges from this year are lead by Adrian Braescu. The award winning gala will take place on December 3 at Neamt County Council in the room “Calistrat Hogas”.
