Thursday, January 24 2013, at 14:00 took place in front of the Culture’s House from Piatra Neamt a celebration dedicated to the Union of the Romanian Historic Regions. The event was organized by “Carmen Saeculare” Cultural and Art Center from Piatra Neamt. The Union of the Romanian Historic Regions on January 24 1859 is considered to be the first big step to create the Romanian National State.

The entertainment complex Cozla Park from Piatra Neamt is one of the most important touristic attractions of the town. The ski slope, the ride with Telegondola or the chair lift and the hiking trails offer to tourists diverse recreation possibilities.
Cozla ski slope is located on Cozla hill, in the north side of the town. The chair lift that takes you up the mountain is in Darmanesti neighborhood and can lift 826 persons per hour. Telegondola has its starting point at the train station from Piatra Neamt.

At the beginning of 2013, on January 2, took placed the first edition of the Festival of Customs and Traditions for New Year’s Eve from Targu Neamt. The event was organized by Targu Neamt Town Hall and Ion Creanga Culture’s House. At the festival participated over 20 bands from the entire county.
Thousands of people watched the parade of traditional costumes on the route from Central restaurant and Culture’s House and enjoyed the costumes representing bears, goats, rams and other animals.
