Visit “Aripi si Petale” Exhibition from the Natural Science Museum of Roman

For 2 months, the Natural Science Museum of Roman will host a temporary exhibition entitled “Aripi si Petale” (“Wings and Petals”). The exhibition was created together with specialists from the Natural Science Museum of Ploiesti and represents a unique combination of butterflies and floral rarities. Visitors will have the chance to admire the beauty and diversity of exotic butterflies and fossilized plants.
At this exhibition will be presented different species of butterflies from Africa, America, Europe and Asia. You’ll also see numerous plants and floral rarities of exquisite beauty.

The first bisons roaming free in Neamt County

Thursday, on March 22, 2012 was the first day of freedom for 5 bisons in Chitele area from Cracaoani commune. The event was organized by “Dragos Voda” Bisons and Carpathian Fauna Reserve during a unique project in Romania that has as primary objective to improve the conservation of the bisons in Vanatori-Neamt Nature Park from Neamt County. The project is financed by the European Fund for Regional Development.

Thursday, March 29, 2012 in the room “Ion Creanga” from Neamt County Council took place the County Conference for promoting the job opportunities in the tourism industry. Painting exhibition of the artist Cristinel Prisecaru

Thursday, March 15, 2012 at 16:00 at “Lascar Vorel” Art Galleries from Piatra Neamt will take place the opening of the exhibition organized by the artist Cristinel Ionel Prisecaru. This is his fifth personal exhibition and contains byzantine paintings, especially religious icons painted on wood and canvas.

“Autoportret” exhibition of painter Stefan Potop

Between March 1 and 15 2012 at the art galleries Lascar Vorel from Piatra Neamt will be the exhibition “Atuportret” (“Self-portrait”) of the painter Stefan Potop. The opening of the exhibition will take place on March 1st at 17:00 by the writer and art critic Lucian Strochi.
The exhibition contains 23 paintings that represent self-portraits created in an original fashion. The paintings are created using the same well known technique of the painter that impresses with the precision of the execution.

The celebration of Martisor in Neamt County

The celebration of martisor represents for people in Neamt County a 2000 years old tradition. Together with this symbol of spring people also offer spring flowers like snowdrops.
Martisor is a small ornament tied with a white and red string that appears in Romanian tradition. The red signifies the love for everything that is beautiful and white represents the health and purity of the snowdrop, the first flower of spring.
