The traditional art gala from Piatra Neamt 2011 – first edition

Between November 18 and 20, 2011 will take place in Piatra Neamt at the Modern Art Galleries the first edition of “The Traditional Art Gala”. The event was create to celebrate traditional creations and of course local artisans that keep the local traditions alive through their work.
The official opening of the event will take place Friday, November 18 at 14:00. The exhibition presents traditional art objects created by some of the most representatives local artisans from Moldova region. Saturday, November 19, 2011, starting with 12:00 will take place an award …

The archeological site exhibition from Cetatuia – Costisa

Between November 2011 and March 2012 at the History and Archeology museum from Piatra Neamt will be open the exhibition “The archeological site Cetatuia – Costisa”. The exhibition is organized by Neamt County Museum Complex in collaboration with “Vasile Parvan” Archeological Institute from Bucharest and with the participation of “Iulia Antonescu” Museum Complex from bacau.
The archeological site from Costisa, Neamt County dates from the interwar period when Constatnin Matasa and Radu Vulpe made the first excavations in the area. The moments marked by excavations performed in 1959, 1960 and 1962 …

“Mineralia Piatra Neamt” Exhibition

Between November 17 and 20, 2011 will take place the History and Archeology Museum from Piatra Neamt the exhibition “Mineralia Piatra Neamt” where visitors can admire minerals, fossils, natural gemstones and jewelry. The exhibition has a cultural and educational purpose and offers the chance for kids and grownups to take a look at the less known world of minerals.

Tupilati – ancient settlement on Moldova Valley

Tuesday, November 8, 2011 will take place in Tupilati commune, Neamt County a cultural manifestation called “Tupilati – History pages”. The event will be organized in the park near the church St Mihail and Gavril and its main purpose is to commemorate the historic past of this region.
This year we celebrate 200 years from the building of the church, in 1811, by Stefan C. Catargi. Here was also the place where the celebration called Sadoveniana (a celebration of the writer Mihail Sadoveanu) took place.

The program of the event “In Memoriam Constantin Matasa”

Between November 3 and 4, 2011 will take place in Piatra Neamt the event In Memoriam Constatin Matasa, at 40 years from the death of the priest Constantin Matasa. The organizers of the event are the Cultural and Scientific Organization “Constantin Matasa”, the local Orthodox Authority and the Theological Seminary “Sf. Imparati Constantin si Elena”. The event is dedicates to Constantin Matasa, who managed to create the largest Neolithic art collection from the south east of Europe. This is how the exhibition “Cucuteni Culture” was born.
