A new edition of “Filmul de Piatra” Film Festival at Piatra Neamt

Between September 2 and 4, 2011 will take place a new edition of the film festival “Filmul de Piatra” that will present videos, movies and concerts. At this edition, the video projection from the evenings of Friday and Saturday will take place in the court of “Calistrat Hogas” High school where there will also be the mobile Coffee Shop. The National Lute Festival from Neamt Fortress – first edition

Between August 19 and 25, 2011 at Neamt Fortress from Targu Neamt will take place the first edition of the National Lute Festival, a project that wants to promote the lute, an instrument less popular in Romania. The event will gather artists from Iasi, Timisoara, Hunedoara, Carei or Bucharest and other related instruments like Celtic harp or virginal.
The purpose of this festival is to promote this medieval instrument and to send a signal to the teaching schools to introduce the lute in their daily classes. The festival will take place …

“Equilibrium Trends” Exhibition from the History and Archeology Museum from Piatra Neamt

Between September 14 and October 14, 2011 at the History and Archeology Museum from Piatra Neamt you’ll have the chance of visiting the exhibition of Simona Vasiliu Chintila called “Tendinte spre echilibru” (“Equilibrium Trends”). The exhibition contains 51 pieces of painting and graphics from “Matei Chintila” Collection.
The artist Simona Vasiliu Chintila was born in 1928 and graduated from “Nicolae Grigorescu” Art Institute. She also studied music, philosophy and literature. Starting with 1961 she began to exhibit her works, first in Bucharest and then all over the world in places like …

Targu Neamt Days – the XXI edition

Between September 7 and 9 2011 will take place in Targu Neamt the XXI edition of the event Targu Neamt days. This year’s edition will host traditional products fairs, concerts, a military parade with torches and a spectacular firework show.
Wednesday, September 7 will take place the official opening of the event starting with 12:30 and continuing with a concert performed by “Ion Creanga” fanfare and a local talent show with folkloric artists.

Equestrian contest at the “Virgil Barbuceanu” Equestrian Complex from Piatra Neamt

Sunday, September 18, 2011 starting with 09:30 at the equestrian complex “Virgil Barbuceanu” from Piatra Neamt will take place the last competition from this year called “Autumn champions”.
At this event will participate riders from Iasi, Suceava, Bacau, Targu Neamt and Piatra Neamt. This is one more chance for those that love this sport to proof one more time their riding skills or just to come and see the beautiful horses in action.
