Tribute to the 104th anniversary of Father Justin Pârvu

Prayers for help and gratitude were whispered around the grave of Father Justin Pârvu, at Petru Vodă Monastery in Poiana Teiului commune, Neamț County.

The legend of Miron’s Haystacks in Ceahlău Massif

Following the hiking trail from Izvorul Muntelui to Poiana Maicilor (Nuns’ Glade), right before reaching Dochia Chalet, tourists pass by two impressive rock formations called „Clăile lui Miron” (Miron’s Haystacks).
The legend speaks of an old shepherd from Secu / Izvorul Alb, who came here a long time ago, to find pastures for his flock. “Grandparents’ House” – out of love for folk art

Recently opened, located in Girov commune, the museum highlights local traditions and values. Visitors have at their disposal an old radio sets exhibition, and an ethnography and folk art exhibition. Among the exhibited objects, the traditional hand-woven woolen carpets are quite special.
Out of love for folk art, the project was carried out by Mr. Constantin-Bucur Olariu from Girov, in in cooperation with “Ionel Teodoreanu” Municipal Library and Girov City Hall. at the event’s official opening, the participants enjoyed an ethno-folkloric session and a specially made artistic program.

New Year’s Customs and Traditions Festival 2023 was extremely popular with the public

The 10th edition of the festival gathered thousands of locals and tourists in Târgu-Neamț, the audience being larger in number than ever.
Overall, 500 participants per formed on the stage of the festival. Out of the 22 groups which entered the competition, The Bears from Dărmănești from Bacău County and Mlădițe de Folclor from Oglinzi, Neamţ County, ranked first. There were two folk ensembles which shared the second ranking, one ensemble occupying the third place and three special mentions in the competition.
