The History and Ethnography Museum Targu-Neamt

The History and Ethnography Museum Târgu-Neamt has the origin in a first museum exhibition organized at School no. 2 from Tg. Neamt, in 1940’s, having the title Neamt Fortress Museum. In 1957, at the celebration of 500 years of the enthronement of Stefan cel Mare in Moldavia, already existed The Neamt Fortress Museum and the District Museum of Stefan cel Mare , Târgu Neamţ. Buhalniţa Monastery

Buhalniţa Monastery is in Hangu, about 50 km from Piatra Neamt, on Route 15, after we pass Bicaz and move towards Vatra Dornei. Place of worship, Buhalniţa monastery has two patrons: of the Entrance in the church of the Virgin Mary and of Saint John the New of Suceava  and is founded by Prince Miron Barnovschi (1626 -1629 and 1633). Another sanctuary that existed before, is attested from the year 1458, built by Stephen the Great, given to the Neamt Monastery. Almas Monastery

Almas monastery is built on the site of an ancient monastic settlement dating from the fifteenth century, in a clearing, on the Almas valley, described in writings of Calistrat Hogaş. It is situated at a distance of about 12 km from Piatra Neamt, on Targu Neamt direction.
The founders of the monastic establishment are Vasile and Maria Almas, shepherds in Haţeg. In the year 1659, being helped by yeomen, Vasile Almas built a wooden chapel, dedicated to St. Nicholas, in which were installed large icons and iconostasis from the church of the village …

Church Saint Demetrius (Sfântul Dumitru)

 Church Saint Demetrius  from Sarata (Dobreni commune) is one of the touristic sights  you shouldn’t miss when you are in our county.

Church “St. Nicholas” from Roznov

 Located in the heart of Roznov and surrounded by the arboretum, the parish church dedicated to “St. Nicholas” is a true architectural gem. The founder, Colonel Gheorghe Ruset Roznovanu, a famous politician of the time, decided with his family to build this church in the memory of his beloved son, passed away at the age of 20 years old.
