Neamt County is well known for the local traditional clothing, embroideries, furniture, pottery, tapestry, carpets and traditional masks created to celebrate the winter holidays. The craft of wood working stands out through the variety of the techniques used and the importance that this craft used to have in creating the daily used objects.

The manufacturing of the traditional masks is tightly connected to winter holidays and that is why these objects have a great emotional load. The masks represent animals mostly but also human figures.
The fabrics and the embroideries that used to decorate the traditional clothing, the walls and the tables of a traditional house are now handmade by local artisans.

The craft of weaving has a special place among the local arts and many of these products were used to decorate a traditional house.

The objects created by these artisans are now used as traditional decorating objects.
