The Special Days Dedicated to Ion Creanga – the Greatest Storyteller from Romania

zilele-Ion-CreangaThis year we have the XL edition and it will take place between 11 and 13 December 2009. We present the program of these special days and we hope to determine more and more people to attend to this kind of events that speak about the Romanian traditions and cultural values.

Friday – December the 11th

The Memorial Museum Ion Creanga from Humulesti – Targu Neamt

Between 1030 – 1100, Welcoming the guests and visits to the Memorial Museum

At 1100 – 1300

  • The official opening of the event
  • Whitepaper presentation “120 years from the death of Ion Creanga”, by professor dr. Constantin Parascan
  • Romanian Traditions presented in a show by children from schools in Targu Neamt

Casa Culturii “Ion Creanga” Tg. Neamt

Between 1400 – 1600

  • Essay contest with the theme: “Under the cap of Danila Prepeleac

At 1600

  • Reality Hieroglyphs in the work of Ion Creanga

At 1730

  • Book launch: “The Adorable Beast” and “Equinox or solstice” by professor dr. Cristina Emanuela Dascalu

At 1800

  • Christmas Carols for Ion Creanga

Saturday – December the 12

St Nicolae Church from Humulesti

At 1000

  • Religious service in memoriam for Ion Creanga and his relatives

At 1045

  • Christmas Carols show with the choir from the Foundation “Ion Creanga”

At 1100

  • A light for the soul of Ion Creanga: Humulesti, Brosteni, Pipirig, Falticeni, Iasi

At 1400

  • Contest: The World of Ion Creanga in the expression of children paintings

At 1500

  • Contest and Marathon “Radio International Ion Creanga”

At 1600

  • Theatrical show: The Friendly

At 1800

  • The rewarding of the participants at the contests organized for children

Sunday – December the 13

Between 900 – 1500 – Pilgrimage: “On the Footsteps of Ion Creanga” la Tg. Neamt, Pipirig, Brosteni, Tg. Neamt
