Located in the commune Alexandru cel Bun, the village Scaricica has a beautiful vantage point over the entire Bistra Valley and Piatra Neamt. From here you can also admire the three reservations: Batca Doamnei Lake, Pangarati Lake and Vaduri Lake.

To reach this place you’ll have to make a right from the road DN 15 from Piatra Neamt to Bicaz and go on the county road Viisoara – Bisericani.  The road is full of curves and it goes straight up in the Stanisoara Mountain. The scenery is exceptional during winter when everything is frozen and dressed in snow. The blue sky is in perfect harmony with the white snow under the warm hug of the sun. Only the smoke coming through the chimneys of the houses bellow is telling you that the village is full of life.

From the vantage point the road continues to go through the forest, where the trees filled with snow form some kind of a tunnel with their frozen branches. Here the silence of the forest is troubled only by the song of a bird. The wind loses its power here and the warm sun is shining through the branches. At the end of this “tunnel” you’ll reach Bisericani Monastery, one of the oldest monasteries from Neamt County.
