Somewhere, when you leave Piatra Neamț and head to Bicaz, passing though Agârcia Commune, you can find an oasis of peace and quiet. Tourists and locals alike stop by to admire the beautiful landscape of River Bistriţa valley, opening wide and mesmerizing in front of their eyes, not to mention the wonders that float gently on the water surface: white swans.

The reservoir arranged on Bistriţa River course surrounds Bâtca Doamnei Hill, one of the tallest hill bounding Piatra Neamţ city. On top of the hill, traces of “Petrodava”, an ancient Dacian fortress of commercial and military importance, can still be observed. The Lido in Piatra Neamţ, as well as “Col. Virgil Bărbuceanu” Equestrian Base are both arranged along River Bistriţa valley.

In the summertime, “La Caiace” Recreational Complex opens its gates for all water lovers. The place is a new concept that proposes its visitors with a variety of activities, from water sports, leisure facilities to cultural and artistic events, designed as an alternative to spending time relaxing in the middle of nature. It is here where tourists and locals, artists, athletes, photographers gather to spend quality time together, away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
