Exploring the fascinating natural universe of Ceahlău Massif

Izvorul Muntelui is a very picturesque area in Neamț County. It is also the starting point for three of the eight trails leading on top of Ceahlău Massif.

Here tourists from everywhere have the chance to enter Ceahlău National Park Visitors’ Centre and have a “live taste” of what the wide and complex natural universe of the mountain really means. The Visitors’ Centre is more than a museum, inviting its visitors to step inside a natural micro universe and gradually discover its mysteries, in an unusual audio-visual experience.


Ceahlău National Park Visitors’ Centre from Izvorul Muntelui is the place where, before embarking on a trip to the plateau of Ceahlău Massif, visitors discover the secrets of the ancient mountain through attractive, interactive techniques The Visitors’ Centre stands as both an ambassador for visitors who have not yet decided to go on a hike, but also a convincing invitation to return soon, for visitors who already discovered the mountain and had their share unforgettable experiences.

In the same way ascending the mountain proves to be a blessing of all senses, so too the museum has the necessary facilities, allowing tourists to discover nature with all senses.
The center has a room similar to a movie theater, where tourists can watch movies in 2D and 3D format, finding out what makes Ceahlău such an amazing place. Tourists can find out the most beautiful legends shrouding Ceahlău Massif. Children are welcome, and they have the possibility of engaging in several interactive non-formal learning games, both inside the center and outside, in the backyard.
