Cycling lovers can find tempting and various routes for riding and MTB competitions in Neamț County.

The landscapes along these routes fascinate with their beauty and  location. Along the lake shores and riverbanks, forest roads and mountain paths, downhill and cross-country, these routes are sure to be a promise of an unforgettable adventure on two wheels.

Listed below are some of the most frequented bike routes in Neamț County:

  • Piatra-Neamt (Căprioara) – Bâtca Doamnei – Doamna – the sheepfold on Cernegura Peak (MTB route)
  • Cuiejdiu – Lake Cuiejdel, Gârcina commune
  • Almaș Monastery – Horaița Monastery
  • Tarcău – Ivaneş, Tarcău commune
  • Bicaz Dam – Izvorul Alb, Bicaz
  • Lacul Roșu (Red Lake), Harghita County – Trei Fântâni (Three Fountains), Dămuc commune
  • Dămuc – Trei Fântâni (Three Fountains), Dămuc commune
  • Borca, Neamţ County– Mălini, Suceava County – Drumul Talienilor (Talienilor Road)
  • Borca – Borca Gorges, Borca commune

 

The following link redirects you towards one of the mountain bike routes: Bicaz Gorges – Pângărați Pass – Hășmașul Negru – Lacul Roșu – Piatra Neamț. This route, of around 74 km long, is a challenging one, recommended only for advanced riders:

The ones who love this kind of sport and also the MTB competitions can practice their skills in Ceahlău National Park, or winding down through Bicaz Gorges – Hășmaș National Park (on Bicăjel Valley)

A well-known event dedicated to cycling lovers, Bicaz MTB Marathon, also included in the Riders Club calendar, annually gathers in Neamț County hundreds of participants who share some of the same passions: mountain hiking and wild roads exhausting races along unique landscapes.
