Four young ladies passionate about folk music put the basis of a special project called “Sânziene” along with their teacher. Recently, the interpreters Alice Prundu, Bianca Crețu, Andreea Dâdă, Alessia Huci and Georgiana Șerban Axinte have entered the homes and hearts of the Neamț locals, and also of the Romanians with the interpretation of the Christmas song “At Stephen’s Gate”.

The idea of promoting Neamț in a new performance has quickly triggered appreciative reactions from the public, and the participation in a contest ended with winning the first PRIZE in the Folk creation section, at the “EURO MUSIC VISION” International Music Festival.

“Neamţ, beautiful land” captivated the audience, kept their interest high, and only three days after the release of the song, the five singers involved in the “Sânziene” project, were invited on Radio Iași for a live performance too, during the morning show called “A song for everybody”. Thus, the song about Neamț County echoed across the country.

The song is the result of the passion and involvement of the talented young artists, Alice, Bianca, Andreea, Alessia, co-ordinated by Professor Georgiana Carmina Șerban Axinte.

The lyrics were written by Mr. Ghiţă Dandu, who was inspired to include in the song the most important touristic, historical and geographical areas of Neamț County. The orchestral arrangement was composed by Head Conductor Prof. Călin Corai and at the making of the video participated the dancers and the orchestra of “Floricică de la Munte” Folk Assembly.
