Days of Neamţ Fortress

Neamţ Fortress is one of the main medieval monuments in Romania, located close to the high Pleşului Peak. In time, the fortress stood tall, watching over Moldova and Siret river valleys, but also over the gateway to Transylvania, becoming one of the major Fortress of Moldavia, because of the many works of consolidation conducted during the reign of Stephen the Great.
The building was declared a historical monument in 1866.For the conservation and preservation of the Neamţ Fortress in the best possible conditions, were conducted over different time restoration and consolidation. …

International Music Festival   “Musical Holidays in Piatra-Neamț”   Issue No. 41, July 6 to 12, 2014

With forty-one years of history Music Festival “Musical Holidays in Piatra Neamt” gets from one edition to another a brand that has evolved in pace with the times, while the symphonic choral concerts were joined jazz recitals or pop music, and for more than ten years has become a traditional folk evening.

“Lada cu Zestre” Traditional Art Festival the IX edition

A new edition of “Lada cu Zestre” Traditional Art Festival will take place in Piatra Neamt, Tineretului Park between May 23 and 25 2014. The event is organized every year with the main purpose of keeping traditions alive.
This year there will be over 60 artisans invited to the festival from different ethnographic areas of Romania and from The Republic of Moldova. Among the objects that will be exposed we’ll see traditional fabrics, traditional shirts, sculpted wood objects, ceramics, masks that remind us of the winter holidays, leather objects, painted eggs …

Conference “Ceahlau – nature, history and tourism”

On August 5 2013 took place in Durau resort at the conference room from Bistrita Hotel the Conference “Ceahlau – nature, history and tourism”. The event took place during the Festival of Ceahlau Mountain (August 3 – 6 2013). The conference was divided in two parts: “Nature and Tourism” and “History, Mith and Tourism”. The event was moderated by Catalin Gavrilescu, director of Ceahlau Mountain Park. Special guest of the day was Dan Munteanu from the Protecting Nature Monuments Commission and member of the Romanian Academy.

Exhibitions during the Days of Ceahlau Mountain 2013

The folkloric art exhibition
Between August 3 and 6 2013 took place in Durau resort a folkloric art exhibition, located in front of Durau Monastery, where local artisans from Neamt County exhibited their works.
Among the artisans that participated at this event there are: Ciocarlan Vasile with a beautiful traditional masks collection, Ciocarlan Elena that creates traditional objects of wool, Vasile Neamtu with his wood handmade furniture pieces.
Ionela Lungu, a local artisan from Humulesti participated with some figurines that remind us of the world of writer Ion Creanga. Costi Lungu exhibited traditional …
