The Wood Church from Galu village, Poiana Teiului commune

The wood church from Galu is located inside the cemetery of the village and has as its holly patron St Gheorghe. From an inscription above the entrance door we find that the church was built in 1918 but the Holy Gospel was a gift to the church in November 8, 1780. So there is more than one hypothesis on the date when the church was built.

Tupilati – ancient settlement on Moldova Valley

Tuesday, November 8, 2011 will take place in Tupilati commune, Neamt County a cultural manifestation called “Tupilati – History pages”. The event will be organized in the park near the church St Mihail and Gavril and its main purpose is to commemorate the historic past of this region.
This year we celebrate 200 years from the building of the church, in 1811, by Stefan C. Catargi. Here was also the place where the celebration called Sadoveniana (a celebration of the writer Mihail Sadoveanu) took place.
