Toaca Peak – Stairway to heaven

Standing higher from the mountains around and also because of its relative lonely position, Ceahlău Mountain, the Olympus of Moldavia  -as it is also known-  is the second Holy mountain of the Orthodox Christianity after Mount Athos. Horăicioara Monastery is located at an altitude of 900m in a picturesque natural environment, nearby Horaiţa Monastery. Housed in a beautiful building belonging to the Princely Court Ensemble in Piatra Neamţ, built in 1930, shelters the richest and most valuable collection in Europe of artefacts belonging to Precucuteni-Cucuteni Culture. Bisons in Vânători-Neamţ Natural Park
