The Chapel of St Mary from Secu Monastery

The religious settlement from Secu is organized in few buildings and each and everyone has a great historic and religious value. Secu Monastery was built just like a medieval fortress with thick stone walls. The church is located in the middle and on two corners there are two chapels: St Nicolae and St Mary open for pilgrims to visit it.

The Cemetery’s Church from Secu Monastery

Secu Monastery is an old religious settlement from Neamt County that has almost 500 years. In its early years, the monastery was located on the property of Neamt Fortress, on the valley of Secu Creek. Here, in this place, in 1530 the ruler Petru Musat built the church of Zosima Hermitage. The Restored Rooms from Neamţ Fortress

After the restoration process, Neamţ Fortress has become a medieval museum and its rooms show moments of how the life in this place used to be.
