Vanatori-Neamt Nature Park is partially located between Neamt creek and Cracau creek and hosts along with its important natural reservations, historic settlements. Here, tourists can visit the famous Neamt Fortress, monasteries like Agapia, Varatec, Agapia Veche, Horaita, Neamt, Secu, Sihastria, hermitages like Sihla, Icoana Veche, Icoana Noua, Pocrov or Daniil Sihastrul and memorial houses like Mihail Sadoveanu, Ion Creanga, Alexandru Vlahuta or Veronica Micle.
Inside the park there are natural reserves like the Copper Forest, the Silver Forest, “Dumbrava” Oak Reserve and “Dragos Voda” Bisons and Carpathian Fauna Reserve.

On the area where there also is “Palatul Cnejilor” Palace there is also “Pogorarea Sfantului Duh” Church (The Descent of the Holy Spirit Church) that dates from 1639. The church was built on the expense of the brother of ruler Vasile Lupu, Gheorghe and was raised on the place where used to be the old Hangu Hermitage. The boyars of Cantacuzino family forced the monks to leave that place in order to build “Palatul Cnejilor” Palace.

The History and Archeology Museum from Piatra Neamt is hosting the exhibition “Regina Maria – Regina tuturor romanilor” (“Queen Maria – Queen of all Romanians”) that is organized to commemorate 75 years from the death of Queen Maria. This year also there are 170 years from the birth of Queen Elisabeta and 120 years from the birth of king Carol II.
