The opening of the permanent musical season of 2012 – 2013 of “Gheorghe Dima” Musical Academy from Cluj-Napoca, Neamt bureau, will take place Wednesday October 24 starting with 18:00. The event will begin with a series of recitals in the interpretation of Nicoleta Maier and Lucian Pietrean, supported by Mihaela Spiridon.

Weaving is one of the oldest of crafts in Romania and is still practiced even today in some areas from Neamt County. The women from this area were very careful to the objects that “dressed” the interior of the traditional house. These weaved objects represented the legacy of each family, the social status and were also a proof of the craft of the housekeeper.
