The year 1908 represents the moment when Dochia Chalet was first built, along with Shelter no 1, on Ceahlau Mountain. The construction was realized with the help of over 300 volunteers: sportsmen, priests, professors and people from the surrounding villages. Unfortunately in 1909 Dochia Chalet was destroyed because of a powerful storm.

Tare ca Piatra Festival from Piatra Neamt, July 16 – July 18 2010 was a true spectacle of courage and mastery of those passionate about skateboarding and downhill. The entire festival was organized on two locations: Tineretului Swimming-pool for skateboarding and Cozla hill for the downhill event. The downhill event was a new challenge this year.

The Summer School organized at the traditional barn from Tineretului Swimming-pool Complex from Piatra Neamt is reopen for all the kids that want to find some of the secrets of painting and traditional arts.

The idea for this festival, “Tare ca Piatra”(“Strong as a Rock”) began 5 years ago and ever since is organized each year by a group of enthusiast of skating from Piatra Neamt. Starting with 2010 there is a new event: downhill. This event was introduced to maximize the potential of Piatra Neamt.
