The museums from Piatra Neamt offer to tourists some interesting collections that represent testimonies of our past and our heritage. These collections contain cultural pieces with historic, archeological, documentary, technical and scientific value.
The Collection from the Neolithic Art Cucuteni Museum is the most important Neolithic collection from the south east of Europe. The museum exhibits tridimensional objects as well photographic materials. The painted ceramics from the cucuteni period is one of the most beautiful manifestations of art in the Neolithic period.

Between September 21 and 23 2012 took place in Piatra Neamt the XIX edition of the National Symposium of Illustrated Postal Cards. The first meeting of this kind was in 1994 when were celebrated 100 years from the appearance of the first illustrated postal card.
Saturday, September 22 2012 also took place the Collector’s Fair where the participants were collectors of stamps, old illustrated postal cards, coins and bills from all over the country. In the afternoon at Potoci were some discussions on this theme and also two books were launched.

The folkloric clothing from Neamt County represents one of the main cultural elements that define the traditional clothes in the entire region of Moldova. The clothing pieces were handmade using traditional methods and decorated with traditional colors and models.
The traditional clothing of women was composed of a head piece called “broboada”, catrinta, a shirt, a belt called “brau”, a vest called “bondita”, footwear called “opinci” and a bag called “traista”. All the clothing pieces were handmade and decorated with floral motives.
