The local artisan Neculai Popa struggled all his life to transmit to us his passion and love toward Romanian traditions and customs. He was a great artist and a passionate collector of folkloric art that we can admire in his museum organized at his house from Tarpesti. The tourist that reaches Neamt County can also make a stop to Ancutei Inn, locally called “Hanul Ancutei”, located at the intersection of the roads that go to Iasi, Roman and Suceava. The inn was built in 1718 on the land of Catargi boyars and was a stopping place for those that travelled to Roman, Iasi or Suceava.

Saturday, August 6 2011, pilgrims from all over the country are expected to come on Ceahlau Mountain to participate at the religious service that will be held at the monastery from the top of the mountain. According to tradition at the religious service will participate high priests of the Romanian Orthodox Church.
Over time around Ceahlau Mountain there were many small hermitages and caves used by monks and nuns that lived and prayed in difficult conditions. Many of these religious settlements were destroyed by fires, avalanches or stone falls.
