The exhibition of painter Aurel Stanciu at “Lascar Vorel” Art Galleries from Piatra Neamt

At “Lascar Vorel” Art Galleries from Piatra Neamt is taking place the eight exhibition of the painter Aurel Stanciu, under the title of “Secrets of windows”. The exhibition has 20 paintings that deal with the symbolism of the window.
Through these works the painter from Bacau manages to impress the audience and to force us in a gentle way to let go to our feelings and emotions and to try and image ourselves what could be behind those windows.

Neamt Fortress is one of the most well known medieval monuments from Romania. The heroic actions that took place here centuries ago, written in archives by historians or writers in the last 150 years created the today image of this fortress.
Neamt Fortress is mentioned in writings like “The Mother of Stephen the Great” by Dimitrie Bolintineanu, the novel “Sobieski and the Romanians” by Costache Negruzzi, the poetry “Neamt Fortress” by George Cosbuc or the pages written by Alexandru Vlahuta.

The church “St Nicolae” Roznov, located in the middle of Roznov attracts tourists with its location and unique architecture. The past of this church is different from most churches simply because this is a burial place for a famous family of boyars: Roznovanu.

Customs and traditions on the month of love in Neamt County

Until ancient times February was a month when the celebrations were connected to the beginning of the new agricultural year, to the rebirth of nature, life and love. There were also celebrations about the closing end of the winter and the announcing of the beginning of spring.
In the last years February became a month of love with two days dedicated to it: St Valentine’s Day on February 14, an imported celebration and the local messenger of love Dragobetele celebrated on February 24.
