Sunday, May 26 2013 ended the Folkloric Art Festival “Lada cu zestre” with an award winning gala during which every artisan received a diploma for their participation. Also the artisan Cecilia Haisan received the “Neculai Popa” award for her religious icons pictures.
The official opening of the festival was Friday, May 24 2013 in “Curtea Domneasca” Plaza when the organizers thanked the participants from all over the country for being there. Saturday, May 25 2013, starting at 11:00 will take place during the Festival “Lada cu zestre” the Colloquy “The wood civilization”. The organizers of this event are Neamt County Council, Piatra Neamt Local Council and Town Hall, the Museums Complex from Neamt County and “Constantin Matasa” Cultural and Scientific Foundation.

On the area where there also is “Palatul Cnejilor” Palace there is also “Pogorarea Sfantului Duh” Church (The Descent of the Holy Spirit Church) that dates from 1639. The church was built on the expense of the brother of ruler Vasile Lupu, Gheorghe and was raised on the place where used to be the old Hangu Hermitage. The boyars of Cantacuzino family forced the monks to leave that place in order to build “Palatul Cnejilor” Palace.
