“Pe sub creanga de arin” Festival, the VI edition from Neamt County

Sunday, May 22 2011 starting with 10:00 o’clock will take place in Arinosu Forest from Ion Creanga commune the VI edition of the Folkloric Festival called “Pe sub creanga de arin” (translation: “Under the alder branch”).
Among the special guests of this festival we can list the Folkloric Band “Floricica de la munte” that is promoted by “Carmen Saeculare” Cultural and Art Center. Roman’s Days and the Local Artisans Fair (May 17-22, 2011)

Between May 17 and 22, 2011 in “Piata Roman Voda” Plaza from Roman will take place the second edition of Roman’s Days and the VII edition of the Local Artisans Fair.
During this second edition of Roman’s Days will be organized contests, shows, small fairs and eco activities. The events will take place in different areas of the town as well in some cultural local institutions. With this occasion a new museum will be open for public and that is “Casa Hogas” (The Hogas House).

“St Joan the Baptizer” Church from Piatra Neamt

The building of “St Joan the Baptizer” Church from Piatra Neamt started in 1866 when the priest Lazarescu wanted to build a new church in Maratei neighborhood. Many people made substantial donations and as a result the church was built of stone in a Byzantine style with an ossuary at the basement.
From an architectural stand point the church has a club shape and it has all the compartments of an Orthodox church: porch, narthex, nave and altar. The church has 9 windows on its walls and 12 windows on its …

“Drumul Mingii” Caravan at Piatra Neamt

We invite you to Piatra Neamt Sunday May 15 2011 starting with 14:00 in “Piata Stefan cel Mare” Plaza for the event “Drumul Mingii” Caravan (“The Road of the Ball” refers to the ball that will be used in the Romania’s Football Cup Final).
